Compensate is a not-for-profit foundation that offers people ways to live a carbon negative life.

For decades, humankind has created carbon emissions by burning fossil fuels – oil, coal and natural gas. Now there is too much carbon in atmosphere, and as a result, the climate is changing rapidly. We need to radically cut our emissions, but at the same time, remove existing carbon from the atmosphere as well. This is possible, for example, by binding carbon into forests or soil.

The foundation aims to combat climate change by reducing the amount of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. Compensate brings individuals and companies together by building tools for people to compensate their everyday purchasing decisions.
